LetRyde Terms & Conditions of Use

3.1 General Eligibility

• Be at least 18 years of age or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
• Possess the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts.
• Not be barred from using the platform under any applicable law.
• Provide accurate, truthful, and complete registration information.
• Not have had a LetRyde account previously suspended or terminated.

3.2 Driver and Delivery Partner Eligibility

• Possess a valid, unexpired driver's licence issued by a recognised Nigerian authority (FRSC or State authority).
• Own or have lawful possession of a registered, roadworthy vehicle.
• Hold all applicable vehicle permits, LASDRI cards, road worthiness certificates, and third-party motor insurance.
• Pass LetRyde's background verification and onboarding checks.
• Provide at least one (1) verifiable guarantor of reputable standing.

LetRyde may require Users to verify their identity using NIN, BVN, Driver's Licence, International Passport, Voter's Card, or phone number OTP. Drivers undergo criminal background checks, vehicle inspection, guarantor verification, facial recognition verification, and address verification before activation. LetRyde may conduct repeat verification at any time and may suspend accounts that fail to complete verification.

Users may register using a valid phone number, email address, or third-party authentication (Google, Apple ID, or Facebook). One individual may not create multiple accounts. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Notify LetRyde immediately at support@letryde.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account. Accounts may not be shared or transferred.

LetRyde provides: Ride Hailing, Carpooling / Ride-Sharing, Delivery Services, Logistics & Haulage, Keke & Okada Services, Scheduled Rides, Corporate/Business Rides, and LetRyde for Business. Services are subject to availability in your location. LetRyde reserves the right to introduce, modify, or discontinue services at any time.

Riders request Trips by entering a pickup location and destination. Acceptance by a Driver creates a service agreement between the Rider and Driver. Surge pricing applies during high-demand periods — Riders are notified before confirming. Drivers wait up to 5 minutes from arrival before marking a no-show. For deliveries, the Sender is responsible for accurate package description and lawful contents.

All Users must treat each other with dignity and respect. Prohibited conduct includes: physical assault or harassment, discrimination, vehicle damage (cleaning fees up to ₦50,000), using the platform for unlawful purposes, fare manipulation, and using a mobile phone while driving. LetRyde also prohibits tribal or ethnic discrimination, religious extremism, and publication of private in-trip conversations without consent.

Drivers are independent contractors — not employees of Letsail Tech Ltd. Drivers are solely responsible for their own taxes, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and regulatory compliance. Drivers must maintain a minimum rating of 4.0/5.0 stars and provide at least one verifiable guarantor. All documents including vehicle registration, insurance certificate, and driver's licence must be kept valid and up to date.

Okada and Keke services must comply with all applicable state and local transport laws. LetRyde will automatically suspend these services in any jurisdiction where they are prohibited by law. Operators must provide passengers with a safety helmet where mandatory. Passengers travel at their own risk, and LetRyde's standard liability limitations apply equally to these services.

LetRyde accepts: Cash (where enabled), Debit/Credit Card, LetRyde Wallet, Electronic Bank Transfer (NIP/NIBSS), and Corporate Billing.

Electronic transfer claims must be submitted with a bank receipt to support@letryde.com within 48 hours. Driver earnings are processed within 24–48 business hours. All applicable taxes (VAT) are included in the displayed fare.

LetRyde may adjust fare structures and commission rates in response to significant increases in fuel prices (NMDPRA announcements) or operational costs. Such adjustments may be implemented within 48 hours of a government fuel price announcement. Drivers will be notified at least 7 days in advance of fare or commission changes, except in emergency circumstances.

Refund requests must be submitted within 72 hours. Approved refunds are returned within 5–10 business days.

After each Trip, both Riders and Drivers may rate each other on a scale of 1 to 5 stars. Ratings are anonymous. Users with consistently low ratings may have platform access restricted or terminated. Drivers below 4.0/5.0 stars will receive coaching before further action. Submitting malicious, false, or retaliatory ratings is prohibited.

LetRyde provides: Trip Sharing, Emergency SOS Button, Driver Verification, 24/7 Safety Support Line (+2348052861190), and Anonymous Reporting.

Report incidents (assault, kidnapping, theft, harassment) immediately through the in-app emergency feature or by calling +2348052861190.

Report lost items within 24 hours of the completed trip via the in-app "Lost Item" feature. LetRyde will facilitate communication between Rider and Driver but does not guarantee recovery. Unclaimed items after 30 days may be disposed of by the Driver. LetRyde accepts no liability for lost or damaged personal belongings.

LetRyde shall not be liable for: poor internet connectivity, telecom outages (MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile), GPS inaccuracies, power disruptions, app performance issues on incompatible devices, or third-party mapping errors (Google Maps, Mapbox).

LetRyde may freeze suspicious accounts and delay payouts pending fraud investigations (completed within 14 business days). Confirmed fraud may be referred to the EFCC, Nigeria Police Force, and CBN. Report fraud to: fraud@letryde.com or call +2348052861190 (24/7).

LetRyde processes personal data in compliance with the NDPA 2023, NDPR 2019, and GAID 2025. We collect Identity Data, Contact Data, Location Data, Financial Data (tokenised), Device Data, Usage Data, and Verification Data. Data is retained for 5 years after account closure; financial records for 7 years.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, and object to processing. Contact: privacy@letryde.com. Complaints may be lodged with the NDPC at ndpc.gov.ng.

All IP rights in the LetRyde platform — name, logo, trademarks, software, algorithms, and databases — are the exclusive property of Letsail Tech Ltd (RC 9518541). Users are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence for personal use only. Reverse-engineering, copying, or creating derivative works is strictly prohibited.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Letsail Tech Ltd (RC 9518541), its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, and legal fees arising from: your use or misuse of the platform; violation of these Terms; infringement of third-party rights; disputes with other Users; or content you submit through the platform.

LetRyde integrates with third-party services including payment gateways (Paystack, Flutterwave, Remita), mapping providers (Google Maps, Mapbox), identity verification services (Smile Identity, Prembly), and advertising networks. LetRyde is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or reliability of any third-party service.

Prohibited activities include fake accounts, hacking, human trafficking, using the platform for sexual solicitation, and sharing private conversations without consent.

Prohibited items include: illegal drugs, unlicensed firearms, explosives, stolen goods, hazardous chemicals, and counterfeit currency. LetRyde will report confirmed prohibited items to the Nigeria Police Force and NDLEA.

Businesses may register for a LetRyde Business Account for enterprise mobility solutions. Business Users must provide valid CAC registration documents and comply with all FIRS and State Revenue obligations. In-app advertising must comply with ARCON guidelines and Nigerian consumer protection regulations.

LetRyde may modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the platform at any time. LetRyde will endeavour to provide advance notice for planned maintenance. LetRyde shall not be liable for any inconvenience or loss resulting from platform downtime.

LetRyde may suspend or permanently terminate accounts — with or without prior notice — for: violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal conduct, regulatory requirements, providing false information, or sustained low ratings. Users may delete their account at any time through app settings or by emailing support@letryde.com. Outstanding balances must be settled before account closure.

First raise disputes via in-app support or support@letryde.com (response within 72 business hours). Unresolved disputes proceed to arbitration under the Arbitration and Mediation Act 2023 (Nigeria), seated in Lagos. Users waive any right to class action or collective proceedings.

These Terms are governed by the Laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Letsail Tech Ltd (RC 9518541) is incorporated under CAMA 2020. Legal proceedings not subject to arbitration shall be heard in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.

LetRyde reserves the right to revise these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified at least 14 days in advance via in-app notification, email, or SMS. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

• Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between LetRyde and the User.
• Severability: If any clause is unenforceable, the remaining Terms continue in full force.
• Force Majeure: Letsail Tech Ltd is not liable for delays caused by riots, fuel shortages, pandemics, government restrictions, or other force majeure events.
• Assignment: LetRyde may assign these Terms to any affiliate or successor without prior consent.
• Language: These Terms are issued in English, which prevails over any translated version.
